Brand & Media Kit
Last updated: June 2026
This page provides brand guidelines, asset downloads, and boilerplate copy for journalists, partners, and sponsors who wish to reference APN accurately. All use of APN brand assets requires prior approval per APN’s governance document (Section 9). See the usage rules below.
Name Usage
- Full name: Afghan-American Professional Network (with a hyphen in “Afghan-American”).
- Abbreviation: APN, acceptable on second reference after the full name has been established.
- Do not abbreviate as “AAPN” or alter the name in any way.
- Do not describe APN as a “charity,” “nonprofit,” or “club.” APN is a curated professional network.
Logo System
APN uses a three-lockup system. Choose the appropriate lockup for your context:
- Stacked lockup (primary): APN wordmark stacked above the full organization name. Use for print, presentations, and prominent digital placements. Download: SVG — PNG
- Horizontal lockup (secondary): APN wordmark alongside the organization name on one line. Use for website headers, footers, and co-branding contexts. Download: SVG — PNG
- Icon block (avatar): The APN icon with the pomegranate dot. For use as a favicon, social media avatar, or small-scale applications. Download: SVG — PNG
Note: Logo files will be available at the URLs above upon launch. Contact the press team if you need files in advance.
Brand Colors
Usage rule: Navy is dominant, it should appear on approximately 80% of branded surfaces. Pomegranate is accent only, use it for a single CTA, the pomegranate dot, or a single highlight element per composition. Never render Pomegranate text on a Navy background (contrast ratio 1.9:1 fails WCAG AA).
Typography
APN uses Open Sans as its sole typeface across all text, headings, body copy, UI elements, and captions. Hierarchy is conveyed through weight, size, and letter-spacing rather than mixing typefaces.
Available weights: Regular (400), Medium (500), Semibold (600), Bold (700).
